THE BIGGER PICTURE

WHAT PARKINSON SAID
Parkinson has told of how the recruitment drive in North Wales is playing out: “Talks are ongoing with players. The aim is to get the right players to add to the squad we’ve got already. Quite a few of the players we have been speaking to are under contract or have got a year left at clubs. Obviously that adds complication because there’s fees involved for those players. There are a lot of different scenarios of play but hopefully we will get the players in that we can add to the quality we’ve already got.”

WHAT NEXT FOR WREXHAM?
Hollywood co-owners Reynolds and McElhenney are continuing to make the funds available that will allow Wrexham to dip into the transfer market, although further departures will be required as Parkinson can only register a 22-man League One squad next season and already has 21 spots filled.
